While The Wilbur Theatre is jam-packed with comedy star power well into next year, The Chevalier Theatre is reminding us, just a few minutes outside of Boston city limits, that there is more than enough laughter to go around the entire area in the early stages of 2022.

As announced this week, Russell Peters will be making his return to Medford on Friday, February 25, as part of his Act Your Age World Tour. It will mark his second trek to the city, as he brought his latest batch to town as part of his Deported World Tour in 2019. In addition to a number of stand-up specials available between Amazon Prime Video and Netflix, Most recently, you can see Peters as the star of 2017’s The Indian Detective on Netflix. Forthcoming, you can catch him alongside David Alan Grier, John Cleese and others in the film adaptation of Clifford The Big Red Dog, which is slated to come out in November.

Following Peters’ return, Majah Hype makes his way to Medford on Friday, March 11. Dubbed “The Caribbean King of Comedy,” the raspy-voiced funnyman brings his brand of “reality comedy” to The Chevalier with an improvised set surrounding the experiences of an Afro-Caribbean man, and poking fun at cultural stereotypes.

Additionally, Vine stardom alum and stand-up comedian Trey Kennedy will bring the personality and humor of his social media content presence to the area, and will split his time in the area between The Chevalier on Saturday, March 26 and The Wilbur on Sunday, March 27.
