This past weekend The Devil’s Twins performed live under the always-bustlin’ Interstate 93, part of Boston Cannabis Week’s music festival curated by Xperience Boston at Underground at Ink Block. There’s something compelling about the Massachusetts trio throwing down their bluesy rock and roll in such a locale; a place that should be unforgiving and cold but ends up being quite the opposite with a touch of human care. That sums up the Twins’ new single, as well; a gritty, stripped down monster-in-the-shadows called “Love Vigilante” that quickly justifies both vocalist Nicole Coogan’s Vocalist of the Year nomination in this year’s Boston Music Awards and the band’s own Rock Artist of the Year nod.
