By now everyone knows we’re of the opinion that the greatest holiday song ever remains King Diamond’s 1986 festive-metal hit “No Presents For Christmas”, which was the subject of Vanyaland’s first ever cover contest, won by Infinity Girl just a few short months after we launched.
We remind you of this because King Diamond today (August 19) revealed the dates of his fall North American tour, connecting Halloween season with the holiday season across 23 dates. Included in that is a November 8 stop at The Palladium in Worcester.
The King is on the road to preview new album The Institute, his first in 12 years. The LP’s first single will arrive in the fall, with the full-length set for 2020 release. “For reasons unknown to you, it is clear that you have no way of making it to The Institute on your own at this point,” King Diamond states in a press release. Therefore, we will bring The Institute to you. You don’t want to miss this special opportunity for treatment only we can give you. It could be for your own good, you know…”
