After creating a future paradise in her 2017 single “Chained to the Rhythm,” her sci-fi theme is still going strong in “365,” her lustrous new tune with Zedd, released today (February 14). Pairing AI with obsession, the accompanying music vid drops the DJ in an amorous experiment with a pre-programmed Perry hell-bent on romance. The plot of the video doesn’t fare well for either of them, but musically, “365” clicks into place like a well-intentioned glow-up from the singer’s last record, Witness.
