If there’s one thing Pete Davidson has above all else, it’s youthful, quirked-up white boy rizz. The only problem is that one day, that charisma’s gonna curdle — like all of us, he’s gonna get old, and then what? That’s the dilemma Davidson’s confronted with in James DeMonaco’s The Home, where Davidson stumbles across a private ward in a nursing home stocked to the gills with the scariest old folks you’ve seen on screen since you saw them dicks-out in an Ari Aster movie. Talk about facing your literalized worst nightmares! Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions dropped a trailer for the project on Thursday, and man, this looks almost as goofy as Davidson does without tats.

“In this horror thriller from the creator of ‘The Purge,’ a rebellious twentysomething is sentenced to community service at a quiet retirement home. The residents on the fourth floor are strictly off-limits, said to require ‘special care.’ As his suspicions grow and he digs deeper, he uncovers a chilling secret that puts both the residents’ lives and his own in grave danger.”

The Home hits theaters on July 25, where it’ll go toe-to-toe with Fantastic Four. Good counterprogramming? Who knows.
