Editor’s Note: It’s the same thing we all know in love when it comes to Vanyaland’s recurring weekly live comedy rundown, Mic’d Up — just a slightly different face. We’ll be hyping club shows, theater and arena gigs, open mics, and whatever else to help fill your free time with some much-needed laughter.
While we’re still trying to adjust to the humid ups and rainy downs of a New England springtime, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler remain restless in their own way — and they’re making their way back to the city to fill us in on just why they is.
With a trio of shows lined up for this weekend starting on Saturday (May 17) with a 2 p.m. matinee at Boch Center, the longtime friends and comedy partners return to Boston as part of the latest leg of their Restless Legs tour. While the pair will surely have plenty of new stories and jokes to share, they’ve also stayed busy away from the stage, with Fey starring in the new Netflix series The Four Seasons opposite Steve Carell, while Poehler has continued to thrive on-screen as Joy in 2024’s Inside Out 2, as well starting her podcast, Good Hang with Amy Poehler.
There’s only so many times we’ll be able to see such an iconic comedy duo occupy the same stage in this fashion, so hop to it this weekend.
