After months of staying pretty tight lipped, Tom Segura has finally unveiled the first trailer for his latest project — and if we’re being honest, it’s got us pretty fucked up.
Merely two weeks ahead of its May 13 premiere date on Netflix, Segura’s comedy-horror-fantasy series, Bad Thoughts (think Black Mirror meets I Think You Should Leave) has its official trailer treatment today (April 30), and while it certainly offers up a good taste of what we can expect from the series, we have a feeling it only brings us into the mere waiting room of Segura’s twisted comedy mind, keeping the truly gnarly stuff beyond the credits. Merging his penchant for dark and often comedically sinister musings — not a surprise for anyone familiar with his approach on his podcast, Your Mom’s House — Segura introduces us to an all-new attribute in his creative arsenal as he creates, writes, directs and stars in the series.
Throughout the six-episode season, let Segura bring you through scenarios and fantasies that, if we’re honest enough with ourselves, we can probably relate to on at least some level – including the fact that we also probably need therapy or Jesus.
