Whoever says ROMANCE is dead has not listened to Fontaines D.C., yeah? The acclaimed Irish post-punk band is still feeding off the album that holds firm as one of last year’s finest, rolling out a proper SOTY contender in February called “It’s Amazing To Be Young” and now unveiling ROMANCE’s “deluxe edition”, which includes the aforementioned holdover, a new atmospheric track in “Before You I Just Forget,” and a live version of “Starburster / In Heaven (Lady In The Radiator Song).” It’s an impressive flex of the creative swell around the album. “‘Before You I Just Forget’ is a song that started with a vision of this really blown out sound, something that heaved and shifted with new details, becoming apparent every time you would listen,” says the band’s Conor Curley. “Like never being able to step in the same river twice, the song morphs and changes, finishing with an incredible string part by Grian.” Keep it flowing.
