Television Skies push forward with the spring-loaded ‘Time of My Life’

Things are pretty fucking grim out there these days, but Television Skies are envisioning a positive path forward. The New York City duo dropped a wildly infectious and inspiring new tune last month called “Time of My Life,” with the visualizer hitting in late March, and this is exactly the type of anthemic alternative pop that we need in our lives right now.

“There is a strong through-line throughout our music that aims to inspire and draw out the limitless potential of our generation,” the duo declare. “Turning to a more rock-based sound for our new project to try to capture the nostalgic yet hopeful look toward a better and brighter tomorrow. It’s desperate, vulnerable, and raw, a crash in slow motion. All you can do is hope that the people you love will remember your life with a smile. There’s beauty in the wreckage, a feeling that’s both tragic and euphoric.”

With a sweeping propulsion that sounds like spring and emits a glowing vibe of all-encompassing empower-pop, “Time of My Life” was recorded with Cass Dillon (Morgan Saint, Devora, Billy Joel). And now its lyrical message comes in just when we all need it most.

“Time of My Life is about making mistakes, losing control, and still finding a reason to keep going,” Television Skies continue. “If it inspires someone to take a risk, to chase something they’ve been afraid to go after, or even just to let go of whatever’s been holding them back, then we’ve done our job. There’s a freedom in accepting that life is messy, that you don’t have to have everything figured out, and that sometimes the best thing you can do is just throw yourself into the moment. More than anything, we hope our music gives people that push — to live fully, to love sincerely, and to believe that no matter where they are, they can always find their way home.”
