February vacation has always been a welcomed reprieve from the grind and demand of the classroom. Unless, of course, you’re Jimmy Cash, in which case, you’re using the time this year to put it the work to fill the most legendary comedy room in all of Boston.
Swapping out his mop for a mic at The Wilbur tonight (February 20), the famed “Janitor with Stamina” marks off another milestone in his bustling career as he graces the marquee of the legendary venue for the first time. With only a smattering of tickets left as of this posting, Cash is set to bring his refreshingly personal and personable comedy to a packed room where he is sure to unleash jokes and stories from both within and outside of his journey to becoming one of the best in the comedy game, not to mention his work as a master of the custodial arts.
With his easy-going approach and genuine love for the comedy game, Cash has carved out more than just a hometown following, especially in the last few years, as his social media reach has combined for nearly a million followers, and well over 30 million views on the clips and glimpses he shares that bring his fans behind the scenes and deep into the janitor’s closet. Just since the early months of 2024, there’s even more success that has come Cash’s way on the stand-up stage, as he made headlines with a sold-out St. Patrick’s Day weekend run in his home city at Worcester’s Tuckerman Hall.
In a time where athletes are widely regarded as “generational talents,” if such a term was used for comics, chances are that Cash would be involved in those conversations, so get with it and give yourself a little jolt of laughter to close out the work week.
