Mic’d Up: Tom Segura has us ‘Come Together’ on Valentine’s Day

Via Bill Blumenreich Presents

Editor’s Note: With a brand new year comes new shows, new faces, and a new format for Vanyaland’s recurring weekly live comedy rundown, Mic’d Up. We’ll be hyping club shows, theater and arena gigs, open mics, and whatever else to help fill your free time with some much-needed laughter.

Whether he shoots Coca-Cola or has walrus gumboot remains to be seen, but what we do know for certain is that Tom Segura is back in town for his biggest show in Boston, and he’s ready for us to come together over, or rather all around him.

Taking the stage at TD Garden on Friday (February 14), Segura takes his highly successful Come Together tour to new heights as he brings his current show back to New England for the biggest show he’s ever put on in the city of Boston. While he has kept the machine running as an internationally touring comedian by playing to rooms of all sizes all over the world since his last trek through town, Segura has also continued to grow something of a media empire with two podcasts, Your Mom’s House alongside his wife and fellow comedian Christina P., and Two Bears, One Cave with Bert Kreischer. The pair of shows are just a part of a growing network of podcasts under the YMH Studios umbrella, which includes shows hosted by Chris Distefano, Yannis Pappas, Danny Brown, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Robert Iler, and more.

While his most recent special, Sledgehammer, landed on Netflix in 2023, Segura also joined the literary world in 2022 with his first book, a collection of essays titled I’d Like to Play Alone, Please.

As a comic who has never been one to backtrack or scale down his approach, the intensity that Segura is sure to bring to the famed halls of the Garden will surely stay afloat for some time amongst the championship banners and retired numbers, so don’t miss it.
