A second helping is always a treat, but when it comes to a third serving — as the comedy minds behind the Doughboys podcast will show us later this year — that’s a truly titanic feat, whether it’s at one of the most prized venues in the city or at a buffet.
As announced earlier this week, Nick Wiger and Mike Mitchell are set to make their way back to Boston this spring as they bring their hit podcast Doughboys back to The Wilbur on May 17. This latest feast of culinary hot takes, regional delicacies and a whole lot of laughs will mark the third time the duo has taken the stage at The Wilbur since 2019, with their last visit coming through town in 2022.
It’s almost Friday somewhere, right? Well, come March 28, it’ll be a Friday to remember as the Almost Friday TV crew makes their way to The Wilbur for a round of hilarity as Will Angus, Liam Cullagh, Chet Collins, Billy Langdon and Eilise Patton bring their viral sketch group to the masses in a new way as they bring their acclaimed comedy into a live setting.
Rachel Scanlon and McKenzie Goodwin are bringing their best to town, and they’re going hog wild with all the LGBTQ+ goodness to boot, as they bring their hit podcast, Two Dykes and a Mic to life once again, in front of a Wilbur audience on June 14 as part of their upcoming Going Hog Wild tour. Together, the duo has amassed a significant audience with show as the result of their many segments including “Gay News,” “Ask a Dyke,” “Bumble Fumble,” and more.
Aside from the show, both Scanlon and Goodwin have carved out their own spots in the vast comedy landscape with Scanlon releasing her most recent special Gay Fantasy on Amazon Prime Video in 2024, and Goodwin, in addition to being an accomplished film writer and producer, was featured as part of the 2024 Netflix Is a Joke Festival in Los Angeles.
Also making his way back to The Wilbur is Rafi Bastos, who brings his internationally acclaimed brand of comedy to The Wilbur on October 25. In addition to his long list of accomplishments over the course of two decades in comedy, the Brazilian comedy trailblazer most recently released his first stand-up special, Unfamiliar Territory, on YouTube.
