The stars at night might be big and bright deep in the heart of Texas, but when it comes to the heart of Boston’s Theatre District, Mo Amer is getting bigger and brighter with every visit.
While we anticipate the return of his critically-acclaimed eponymous Netflix series, Amer has unleashed a new stand-up tour, dubbed the El Oso Palestino Tour, which includes a stop at The Wilbur on May 8. In addition to selling out venues all over the world with his culturally diverse background and approach to comedy, Amer has also collected some recent screen credits, which include 2022’s Black Adam alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and a recurring role on the hit Hulu series Ramy, while also releasing two Netflix stand-up specials with 2018’s The Vagabond and 2021’s Mohammed In Texas.
Stand-up veteran and global comedy sensation Max Amini has also set his coordinates for a stop in Boston in 2025, with one night at The Wilbur on March 16. As inconceivable as it may be, as well, stage and screen legend Cary Elwes returns to the area for a night of swashbuckling nostalgia and fun at The Wilbur on October 4, as he brings a screening of The Princess Bride to the masses once again.
Tickets for these shows can be accessed via The Regulars pre-sale now, before venue pre-sale can be accessed on Thursday (January 9) at 10 a.m. ET by using the code VANYA. General on-sale starts on Friday (January 10) at 10 a.m. ET.
