Call your father and ask him to take you to the city, because the marching band is back in fashion.
My Chemical Romance has unveiled the “Long Live” The Black Parade tour of North America for 2025, celebrating the New Jersey band’s iconic 2006 album, which they just performed in its entirely at When We Were Young Festival. And the run features 10 shows across mega-stadiums from coast to coast, including a September 7 romp at Fenway Park in Boston.
But what’s even more impressive than filling joints like MetLife Stadium and Soldier Field is the batshit crazy list of opening acts, which are said to be hand-selected by the band — Gerard Way, Ray Toro, Frank Iero, and Mikey Way — themselves. Right off the jump, we get IDLES here in Boston. Elsewhere across the country, the lineup is just as wild for each date: Violent Femmes, 100 gecs, Wallows, Garbage, a double shot of Death Cab For Cutie and Thursday, Alice Cooper, Pixies, Devo, and Evanescence.
Who is playing what date? Scroll down, Mama.
Peep the tour trailer below, and take note: Tickets go on sale this Friday (November 15) at 10 a.m. local time. Get the details here.
