Look, sometimes you just gotta give the people what they want. Evan Dando knows this all too well. So it’s no surprise to see The Lemonheads leaning back into their brilliant catalog and slinging the classics out on the road. And part of the run is the aptly-named It’s a Shame About C’Mon Feel Tour, which finds the beloved Boston band playing in full their respective 1992 and 1993 albums It’s a Shame About Ray and Come On Feel the Lemonheads. That’s a lot of hits right there.
We’re roughly in the midpoint of the 24-date run, and a feast for the locals presents itself in the form of two homecoming gigs, tonight and Friday (September 12 and 13) at Boston’s Paradise Rock Club.
Both albums recently got the re-issue treatment, and now should sound lovely out there in a live setting off Commonwealth Avenue. Bring a buddy.
THE LEMONHEADS :: Thursday, September 12 and 13 at The Paradise Rock Club, 967 Commonwealth Ave. in Boston, MA : 7 p.m., 18-plus, $30 :: Event info :: Advance tickets
