Role Model with Debbii Dawson, March 16
We love a good Maine glow-up. So we’re stoked to welcome Role Model back to New England next year, part of the Cape Elizabeth native’s No Place Like Tour world tour, which brings the singer-songwriter and former rapper born Tucker Harrington Pillsbury to Boston’s Citizens House of Blues on March 16. He’s got Debbii Dawson on board for support. Back in July, when we were all humid and achy, Role Model released sophomore album Kansas Anymore via Interscope, a record inspired by homesickness, heartbreak, and how to redefine oneself amidst those feelings. A standout for us was the breezy, cool ’70s-pop sounds of “Look At That Woman,” which captured our moods entirely. “That is a very nostalgic song that is looking back and regretting certain decisions and trying to cope with that,” says Role Model. “That was my coping song disguised as a nice, easygoing little jam.” Tickets go on sale Friday (September 13) at 10 a.m. local time.
