Lady Pills fight for a ‘slice’ of spotlight on new single ‘BN2B’

Why is it so hard to be nice to boys? Don’t answer that — there aren’t enough hours in the day to properly unpack the age-old question. Unless, perhaps, you’re Lady Pills. The Boston project of Ella Boissonnault last week (August 30) released the single “BN2B,” an animated art-rock response to the “boys clubs” barricade that impedes the rest of society from reaping their hard-earned rewards.

“BN2B” — an abbreviation for “be nice to boys” — is the first single from Lady Pills’ forthcoming album Renowned in the Roaring Twenties, due out next April.

“Why is it so hard to be nice to boys?” Boissonnault ponders on the chorus, before offering “I put in the work / And I double my time / But I’m still fighting for the slice that’s mine.” It’s a succinct refrain that rings as true as a Women’s Studies term paper, packed into a bite-sized zinger.

Your move, fellas. Tune in below.
