This Show Is Tonight: St. Vincent is ‘All Born Screaming’ in Boston

And now we kneel at the altar of St. Vincent. The era-defining project of a certain Annie Clark — certainly no stranger to our extensive digital pages — returned in the spring with new album All Born Screaming, and now she shows it off here in town not far from her Berklee roots with a show tonight (September 5) at Boston’s MGM Music Hall at Fenway.

It’s now officially “All Born Screaming” September and for once it has nothing to do with the Boston Red Sox. Joining her this evening will be Yves Tumor, and that’s a pretty inspired pairing, on par with Devers and Duran.

All Born Screaming shapes up to be an album we’ll all be reading about again in December when everyone’s Best of 2024 lists come out; it boasts an all-star lineup of guests, including Cate Le Bon, Josh Freese, Stella Mozgawa, Rachel Eckroth, Mark Guiliana, and David Ralicke. When news of the tour first dropped, St. Vincent offered up the pulsating “Flea,” featuring Dave Grohl on drums and Justin Meldal-Johnsen on bass.

Fire it up later for a pre-party vibe.
