Starling lights the way forward to self-discovery on the glossy ‘Cool Girl’

Via Longevity PR

We’ve reached the point of the summer where we all need a little push — nothing too crazy, just a little something to help us get through the day. British alt-pop artist Starling is up to the task, offering up effervescent new single “Cool Girl,” a tender ballad that quickly unfurls into a kaleidoscopic swirl of sun-kissed empowerment.

The track details a young woman navigating personal relationships on a journey towards self-discovery, and the realization that nothing is more cool than staying authentic to one’s self. It’s empower-pop for the summer season, but its message resonates year-round.

“‘Cool Girl’ marks the new sound of pop meets therapy, sad meets hopeful, light meets dark — I want my music to encompass all parts of me and therefore, free all parts of you, the listener,” says Starling, who famously discovered by Massive Attack while working as a waitress in London. “We are all so multi-faceted and full of so much hope as well as fear, sadness, grief — it is safe to be it all… at least, that is what I would like to share through my song.”

Let Starling light the way forward below.
