The Boston Fuzzstival hits double digits this fall, and the annual fest is pulling out all the stops for its big 1-0.
The 10th edition of the fuzz-forward event will gather another alt-rock A-team from across the Northeast on October 18 and 19. The 20-act lineup is split evenly between both days, offering two thorough samplings of rock subgenres at Somerville’s Center for Arts at the Armory. Established in 2013 by Illegally Blind, the all-ages event has shifted between venues over the years, but settled into a new home at the Armory last year.
Massachusetts artists on the lineup this year include Paper Lady (pictured above), The Spatulas, Lupo Citta, Bong Wish, Mingko, Nurse Joy, Doug Tuttle, and hip-hop standout Latrell James, among others. Other parts of New England carve out space on the bill (think Providence’s babybaby_explores and Plant Fight of New Hampshire), and New York City and Philadelphia will be repped by acts such as BALACLAVA and Florry frontperson Francie Medosch.
The festival will also summon Sweeping Promises back to Boston. The new wave duo formed here in 2019 after previously playing together in Mini Dresses, The Silkies, and Dee-Parts.
Single day tickets ($25) and two day passes ($40) are on sale now. Peep the daily lineups and festival announcement below.
