This Show Is Tonight: An Evening with Regina Spektor in Boston

Courtesy of Crossroads Presents

In today’s fast-paced music landscape, Regina Spektor remains timeless. It’s been nearly 25 years since the Moscow-born, Bronx-raised singer-songwriter debuted with 2001’s 11:11, and now nearly two years — an eternity in the modern age — since her last album Home, before and after. Yet Spektor still commends a crowd like few others, and she returns to Boston tonight (July 31) to play MGM Music Hall at Fenway, part of a short burst of summer shows.

“I hope that during these difficult times in the world, you are doing ok, and able to find moments of rest,” she writes on Insta. “I’ve been trying to take better care of myself, and remembering to breathe deep. I hope you have, too. And if not, maybe this little letter is simply a reminder that you can start. Right now… And besides breathing, I’ve also been planning. And the plan involves eight shows this summer in July/August! It will have been a year since my last tour and I can’t wait to see you on the road.”

Same, Regina, same.
