Grief can be a weird thing, but Sarah Silverman is choosing to bring laughs after death with her new show, and she’s coming back home to New England to share in the experience with us.
As announced earlier this week, the stand-up legend and New Hampshire native will be bringing her Postmortem tour to Massachusetts for two nights between Medford’s Chevalier Theatre (January 24) and The Wilbur (January 25) for a little bit of winter comedy therapy. Since her last visit to town, Silverman has most recently released her latest stand-up special, Someone You Love, which she recorded at The Wilbur in March 2023.
Aside from Silverman, The Wilbur’s calendar is seeing quite an influx of shows to fill the year as a mix of new and familiar faces have set their coordinates for the Theatre District, as Now More Than Ever architect John Early makes his way back to The Wilbur on October 15 as part of his upcoming Album Tour, after taking to the storied stage for the first time last summer. As well, it’s set to be a November to remember at The Wilbur, as Brian Regan is set to make a return of his own to Tremont Street for one night on November 8, while Steve Trevino hits the stage on November 14, and Michael Rapaport brings an all-new dose of gripes and questionable hot takes to town on November 21.
A few miles into the burbs, Gianmarco Soresi is set to continue his conquering of the comedy scene as he brings his Downside podcast to Medford’s Deep Cuts on July 24.
Tickets for these shows can be accessed now via the Regulars presale, before venue presale can be accessed starting Thursday (June 13) at 10 a.m. ET by using the code VANYA. Public on-sale begins on Friday ( June 14) at 10 a.m. ET.
