Editor’s Note: Boston Calling kicked off with a total vibe on Friday (May 24), as tens of thousands of festival goers descended on the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston. It was by far the hottest day of the year, and the stage brought its own kind of heat. Vanyaland’s Emily Gardner and Jason Greenough were everywhere — Green Stage, Happy Valley Red Stage, Allianz Blue Stage, and the local Orange Stage — to capture the sights that accompanied the sounds.
