“What are you eating?” is the new “What are you wearing?” of festival season. (I mean, what’s the point of flexing body glitter on Instagram if you’re not holding some melty, enviable, overpriced entree in the same photo?) So when we say that Boston Calling has announced its food and drink lineup for 2024, it’s serious business. The festival — find all our ongoing coverage — unveiled the 25-plus local vendors who will be slinging suppers and snacks at this year’s edition, which is scheduled for this weekend (May 24, 25, and 26) at the Harvard Athletic Complex.
Newcomers to the Memorial Day weekend fest include Thai restaurant Ricen, Cajun and New England-style seafood vendor Shaking Crab, and The MacBar, which offers exactly what the name implies: A smorgasbord of loaded mac and cheese varieties. Boston Calling regulars will also spot many returning staples this year, such as Greco, Jaju Pierogi, Moyzilla, Naco Taco (pictured above), Roxy’s Grilled Cheese, and Tasty Burger.
As guests dart between the festival’s four stages to see acts like Ed Sheeran, Megan Thee Stallion, The Killers, and Khruangbin, they can opt for healthy, vegetarian chow from spots including The Chubby Chickpea, Love Art Sushi, Riceburg, The Flatbread Co. Or, alternatively, finger-licking treats await at Blackbird Doughnuts (paired with Sally’s Sandwiches), FoMu Ice Cream, and Belgian waffle vendor Zinneken’s.
Drinks from Samuel Adams, Truly Seltzers, Miller Lite, Miller High Life, Heineken, and Josh Cellars — plus non-alcoholic beverages from Red Bull, Liquid Death, and Electrolit — will be available as well.
