Every time Brian Posehn makes his way through town, each show feels a bit bigger than the last. This time is no different, so it’s just about time we get a little Posehn in the membrane, if you will.

As announced earlier this week, Posehn will be making his way back to the area with a show at Somerville’s Crystal Ballroom on September 20. Since his last time around, the longtime stand-up comedian, musician and actor has continued to tour the country consistently, and most recently released his fifth recorded hour with Posehna Non Grata via 800 Pound Gorilla Media in 2023.

Also making their way to Crystal Ballroom is Leslie Liao, who will be setting up shop with her lightly introspective comedy approach at the cozy Davis Square venue on November 15. With a number of festivals appearances to her credit, including Montreal’s Just For Laughs, Liao has also landed a set on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, as well as the highly successful national show, Don’t Tell Comedy.

Former Mike & Molly and Bob Hearts Abishola star Billy Gardell is making his way into the heart of the city to hold court at The Wilbur on August 23. Although he has remained fairly quiet in regards to recorded specials since the early 2010s, the Pittsburgh native has continued to tour and sell out rooms all over the country with his down-to-earth approach and level-headed perspective.

Last but not least, Nick Swardson is coming back, and he won’t be “letting it mellow” by any means when he makes his way to Medford’s Chevalier Theatre on November 15, as part of his Toilet Head tour.

Tickets for these shows can be accessed now via The Regulars presale, as well as the venue presale starting Thursday (May 16) by using the code VANYA. Public on-sale begins on Friday (May 17) at 10 a.m. ET.
