Slow Pulp, November 10
There’s a lot going on in the world of Slow Pulp. The Wisconsin-bred, Chicago-based indie rock band, who we’ve covered a bit here at Vanyaland, released a fantastic album last fall called Yard; are currently opening up for The Postal Service and Death Cab For Cutie spring tour of North America; and recently released a magical cover of Lifehouse’s millennium pop-rock mainstay “Hanging by a Moment.” Now the crew led by Emily Massey have their own headlining tour set for the fall, and it plays Boston’s Paradise Rock Club on November 10. We’re hoping to see the Lifehouse cover in the setlist, not gonna lie. “I feel like this song kind of lives somewhere in between alt-rock and pop music, which is something we’re all pretty drawn to as a group,” says guitarist Henry Stoehr. “We wanted to try to provide a new take on the song, while also highlighting how cool the original song is.” Tickets go on sale Friday (May 10) at 10 a.m. local time.
