This Show Is Tonight: Ronny Chieng keeps it real and upfront at The Wilbur

Via The Wilbur

No matter who you are, there’s a good chance we all have something we love to hate. But when it comes to the comedy of Ronny Chieng, it’s nearly impossible to — even if he’s dropping the hate in bunches himself.

With a sold-out, four-show run at The Wilbur set to start tonight (March 29) as art of his highly-successful Love To Hate It tour, Chieng returns to the city not only with a brand new hour, but also that familiar and highly-praised upfront approach to the stage he’s curated over the years. In the few years that have passed since Chieng last took the stage at The Wilbur, things have only gotten bigger and brighter for the consistently grinding and heavy hitting comedian.

In addition to his 2022 Netflix special, Speakeasy, and a continuously growing stand-up reach with shows all over the world, Chieng has also racked up quite a few film and TV roles that have delivered his potent comedic voice in different ways, including Joy Ride, Vacation Friends 2, Kung Fu Panda 4, and Mel Brooks’ History of the World, Pt. II. He also served as a guest host on The Daily Show in 2023, where he’s served as a correspondent since 2015.

RONNY CHIENG: LOVE TO HATE IT TOUR :: Friday, March 29 to Saturday, March 30 at The Wilbur, 246 Tremont St. in Boston, MA :: Times vary, $49 to $89 :: Advance tickets
