Melbourne may be nearly 1,100 miles from Boston, but some of its finest talent will be just across the Charles tonight (March 26) as Angie McMahon gears up for a show at The Sinclair. The Australian musician first came to prominence with her 2019 solo debut album Salt; now, she returns to town at the tail-end of a North America tour supporting Light, Dark, Light Again, her latest effort that dropped in October via Gracie Music.
Light, Dark, Light Again, like its predecessor, is a deeply personal, introspective opus, but McMahon will hardly be on her own up on that Harvard Square stage — this is a full-band endeavor, which will surely bring a depth to tracks like “Mother Nature” and lush indie rock ditty “Letting Go.”
Joining McMahon and crew will be Julia Pratt, whose recent single “Carolina” also recently caught our attention. Tickets are sold out, but (as of this writing) resale is looking perfectly reasonable — and certainly worth a shot to catch such a stacked double-header.
ANGIE MCMAHON + JULIA PRATT :: Tuesday, March 26 at The Sinclair, 52 Church St in Cambridge :: 8:30 p.m., all ages, $20 to $56 :: Event Info :: Advance Tickets
