Tokyo Police Club, The Final Tour, November 16
Farewell, Tokyo Police Club. After nearly 20 years in the game — including a legendary 2006 show at Great Scott in Allston — the Canadian indie rock band are calling it a day, but not before releasing some new music and embarking on a two-part run of tour dates that hits Boston’s Paradise Rock Club on November 16. The Boston show arrives a few days before a quartet of final gigs in Toronto. “It’s time for us to say goodbye!” TPC declare. “This band has meant so much to us for so many years, but all magical things must come to an end. Tokyo Police Club will always stand for the connection we have shared ever since we were teenagers, and it’s brought so many amazing people and moments into our lives. …We have a few more things up our sleeve before we go, so stay tuned!” That includes a pair of new final songs in “Just A Scratch” and “Catch Me If You Can.” Tickets go on sale Friday (March 15) at 10 a.m. local time.
