The digs may be different, but the vision of the Boston Comedy Festival remains the same as it makes its way back for another year of celebrating the art of local and national comedy with a brand new lineup in 2024.

Setting up shop for a myriad of shows at Boston’s City Winery between March 25 and 31, and culminating with the customary finale gala at Berklee Performance Center on March 30, the long-running comedy festival will once again take to the stage to celebrate various generations and avenues of comedy with a wide range of comics participating in the annual stand-up contest, hosted by a number of the best comedy voices familiar to both the area and the festival including Myq Kaplan, Liz Glazer, Alex Giampapa, Corey Manning, Kathe Farris and Rafi Gonzalez.

The stage will also be busy with a few headlining gigs from comedy legend Lenny Clarke (March 27), and industry mainstays Kevin Nealon (March 28) on and DL Hughley (March 29 to 31).

The customary Festival All-Stars show will also take place on March 29, and will feature a slew of comedians who have been featured as part of the festival’s programming over the course of the 24 years, including Drew Dunn, Learnmore Jonasi, Erin Maguire, Kate Sisk, and the festival’s co-founder Jim McCue.

To cap things off, as has been the way in the past, the festival’s finale gala will feature the stand-up contest finals, where contestants deliver their best set one more time for a shot at the $5,000 grand prize, as well as a smattering of accolades given to a few well-seasoned industry veterans. First, the annual “Comedian Of The Year” hardware will be awarded to Nurse Jackie’s Adam Ferrera, while the “Lifetime Achievement Award in Comedy Acting” will be given to Family Ties co-star Michael Gross, and the “Lifetime Achievement Award in Stand-Up Comedy” will be awarded to the one and only Tony V.

Tickets for these events are on sale now, and can be purchased via the festival’s website.
