Julian Edelman brings ‘Games with Names’ podcast to life at The Wilbur

Although it may be too late in the season to take care of the issue, The Wilbur is about to have a serious squirrel problem later this summer at the legendary hands of Julian Edelman.

Announced earlier this week, only a few days after the seventh anniversary of arguably the greatest catch in Super Bowl history, legendary Patriots wide out Julian Edelman is bringing his hit podcast, Games with Names, to The Wilbur on August 30. Not only will it mark the show’s first trip to Boston, but it also marks its very first live show ever.

Originally started as a co-hosted show between Edelman and comedian Sam Morril, it has evolved to include an all-pro level list of special guests who sit down with Edelman to have in-depth and behind-the-scenes discussions about some of the greatest games in the history of sports. While we may have some suggestions as to who should join him for the night in Boston, the special guests for the evening will be announced at a later date.

Lil’ Duval returns to The Wilbur this summer, with one show on June 15. Aside from his work as a hard-grinding comic who is consistently touring and filling rooms all over the country, the Jacksonville native has also filled his resume with a number of acting credits over the years, like Guy Code, Scary Movie 5 and Meet The Blacks. He’s also had his fair share of musical success, with a handful of hip-hop singles including “Smile Bitch (Living My Best Life)” featuring Snoop Dogg, and “Don’t Worry Be Happy” featuring T.I.

Also returning to The Wilbur for another go-around of untethered comedy madness is Michael Blackson, who makes his way to town on June 22. Although his stand-up comedy has powered his work in the industry for nearly two decades, Blackson has also appeared on a number of TV shows like 30 Rock and Chappelle’s Show, as well as Martin Lawrence Presents: 1st Amendment Stand-Up on Starz, and Showtime’s Shaquille O’Neal Presents All Star Comedy Jam.

Additionally, Zakir Khan has added a 3 p.m. matinee show to his stop at The Wilbur on March 16, while Seth Meyers has added a third show to his own Wilbur visit with a 7 p.m. spot on May 3.

Tickets for these shows can be accessed now via the Regulars presale before general presale tickets can be accessed starting Thursday (February 8) at 10 a.m. ET by using the code VANYA. General public on-sale begins on Friday (February 9) at 10 a.m. ET.
