Gary Clark Jr., June 7
Get ready for a whole lot of Gary Clark Jr. in 2024. The Austin blues guitarist and singer is set to release new album JPEG RAW in March, and has already unveiled a four-song sampler platter to set the mood. Next month, Clark performs live on NBC’s The Tonight Show, and in the spring kicks off a United States tour in support of the record. Included in the itinerary are appearances at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Radio City Music Hall, and Bonnaroo, as well as a local stop at Boston’s MGM Music Hall at Fenway on June 7. JPEG RAW is the awaited follow-up to 2019’s This Land, and it features collaborations withStevie Wonder and George Clinton. In the time since his last record, Clark also played Arthur “Big Boy” Crudup in Baz Luhrmann’s 2022 biopic Elvis. Tickets go on sale Friday (Febr) at 10 a.m. local time.
