On the heels of a brutal cold spell in Boston, Green River Festival is stamping out those January blues with the full lineup for its 38th edition. Following a teaser last November, the Greenfield festival today (January 22) announced the full list of artists who will take the stage this summer between June 21 and 23 at the Franklin County Fairgrounds.
Lawrence, flipturn, Cimafunk, Josiah and the Bonnevilles, and Trousdale are among the newly-announced acts who will precede headliners Cake, Fleet Foxes, and Gregory Alan Isakov. While many of this year’s artists hail from different countries — such as Ukraine’s Dakhabrakha and Mexico City group Son Rompe Pera — a healthy portion of this summer’s tunes will be supplied by acts with local ties.
Massachusetts artists on the bill include Twisted Pine, Bermuda Search Party (pictured above, f.k.a. The Q-Tip Bandits), Naia Kete, Cloudbelly, Prewn, and Kalliope Jones, plus Vermont’s Dari Bay. Some Mass-born musicians who have since relocated will return home for a set as well, like Philadelphia’s Speedy Ortiz and new Nashville resident Izzy Heltai.
Three-day passes are on sale now, while single-day and two-day tickets — as well as passes for parking and camping — go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. Check out the full lineup below to plot your weekend.
