Your first gig of 2024 could be at the Massachusetts State House.
MASSCreative is currently seeking musicians, visual artists, and creative businesses to participate in the upcoming Creative Sector Day, an afternoon of honoring the state’s cultural figures and organizations. The State House will host the special occasion from 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24 — and the search is on for locals to showcase.
Interested acts, artists, and cultural organizations can apply to be featured during Creative Sector Day via the MASSCreative website. Performers and exhibitors who are selected will receive a $450 honorarium. Because the event specifically focuses on “the vibrancy and diversity of the artists, creatives, cultural leaders, and organizations that strengthen Massachusetts,” all applicants must live in or “be headquartered in” Massachusetts to be considered.
