Watch ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic ‘celebrate’ his Emmy win at In-N-Out Burger

It’s certainly taken some time to get there, but now it’s official: ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic is the owner of his very own Emmy Award.

As part of the Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony on Saturday (January 6), Yankovic scratched off a new letter on his EGOT bingo card, after scoring the hardware for “Outstanding Television Movie” as a result of the 2022 Daniel Radcliffe-led Roku parody biopic Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, which he wrote alongside the film’s director, Eric Appel. Following the news of the victory (which is a dub for both the pop culture icon and, in turn, his loyal following of Hawaiian shirt-wearing weirdos everywhere), Yankovic took to social media to express his appreciation and excitement for the honor.

Accompanying a smattering of photos to commemorate the occasion, the Lynwood, California native sprinkled in some extra weirdness in the most on-brand way possible, with a quick stop at In-N-Out Burger, where he soaked in the moment over an order of fries after, as the video’s caption jokingly claims, he was “turned away from the after-party at Arby’s.”
