The Boston Music Awards have announced which artists will put the “live” in Big Night Live at this year’s ceremony.

Per tradition, the annual awards show has tapped several nominees to perform at the December 20 event, which will take over Big Night Live for the second consecutive year. The selected acts for 2023 are Shallow Pools, Neemz (pictured above), Nay $peaks, Maeko, Divine Sweater, Clark D, and Cape Crush, offering quick transitions between the scene’s celebrated indie rock, emo, hip-hop, and R&B.

The artists collectively boast 16 nominations this year, spanning major categories that include Artist of the Year, Live Artist of the Year, and New Artist of the Year. They’ll perform over the course of the evening as the awards, across more than 40 categories, are announced.
