It came up quick, but the night has arrived for the two-headed comedy monster of Hannibal Buress and Michael Che to wield their all-star talents for a Boston crowd.
Setting up shop at The Wilbur tonight (November 20), Buress and Che will join forces for a full night of stand-up and what we can only imagine, given the topical nature with which both artists often operate, will be a healthy dose of social commentary.
While Buress, who ended his tenure as co-host of The Eric Andre Show in 2020, has continued to bring his all-star comedy chops to stand-up stages all over the country, he has also made quite the stride in the world of music with his rap alter ego Eshu Tune, having recently released a number of singles including “I Lift Weights,” and “Knee Brace.” In terms of comedy, his most recent stand-up special, Miami Nights received critical acclaim it’s creative ingenuity and topical nature.
Che has also continued to conquer his own corner of the stand-up realm, having released his most recent special, Shame The Devil on Netflix in 2021 in addition to his continued work as a cast member and host of Weekend Update on SNL.
