It’s been over a decade since Beach Fossils first began soundtracking our modern life adventures, and the Brooklyn indie band has been a steady sonic influence ever since. This year has been a significant one for Dustin Payseur and company, as magnetic new album Bunny hit in June and a summer tour with Post Malone elevated their profile. Now Beach Fossils embark on a fall North American headlining tour with Turnover, and the 24-date run comes to Citizens House of Blues this evening (November 20).
Bunny is billed as an album “reflect[ing] on depression, love, adventure, loss, mistakes, New York City, friendships coming and going — a mélange of granular pieces in the process of continuing to find yourself,” and we all need that now more than ever, no matter where we’re located.
Go for the iconic, youth-defining early hits like “Daydream” (oh what we would give to go outside when the morning’s dark and fall in the grass of an open park like we did when we were alive) and stay for fresh Bunny gold like “Don’t Fade Away.”
