This Show Is Tonight: Razor Braids say ‘She’ wants us to go to Somerville

Razor Braids caught all sorts of attention up here in the spring when the stylish Brooklyn band were a last-minute — and certainly welcome — addition to the Boston Calling lineup. Now the queer garage rock quartet are back in the area for an intimate swirl at The Rockwell in Somerville tonight (November 14), and they’re bringing “She” along with them.

A tone-setter for more new music arriving in 2024, Razor Braid’s surfy new single comes with that feeling of experiencing something special, which falls line nicely with the band’s overall aura. “She” is a song about being unafraid to take a chance on love, and feels appropriate for those ’90s era mixtapes we all made.

“It’s a song about being present when you meet someone really special,” says singer Hollye Bynum. “You don’t want to think about what happens tomorrow or what happened in past relationships, because when you look at her you just get to be in the moment.”

Feel it tonight in Davis Square.
