Destroyer, April 26
Destroyer, the longtime project of Dan Bejar, acclaimed Canadian musician and former New Pornographer, will embark on a solo tour in the spring, through the “solo” tag is a bit of a misnomer. Performing for a promised “75 minutes,” according to the tour poster, Destroyer will be accompanied on all 14 dates by frequent collaborator and producer David Carswell, and roughly midway through the jaunt is an April 6 romp at Brighton Music Hall in Allston. Fellow Vancouver project Lightning Dust serves as support foe the tour. In 2022, Destroyer released the well-received Labyrinthitis album, but we continue to revisit 2020’s Have We Met, a record released just weeks before the pandemic took a lot of attention away from new music. Listen to the magnetic “Crimson Tide” from that album below. Tickets go on sale Friday (October 20) at at 10 a.m.
