Twenty years ago last month, Radiohead played the Tweeter Center in Mansfield, and video of the full-set performance has finally surfaced on YouTube — probably because the guy who filmed it just got home from leaving the venue’s parking lot.
Thom Yorke and the boys hit what’s now known as The XFinity Center (we know you still call it Great Woods) on August 13, 2003, bringing a very fresh Hail To The Thief album to Massachusetts. The 23-song setlist is pretty spectacular, with a healthy serving of selections from Kid A and OK Computer in the mix.
The video was uploaded by srawson exactly a fortnight ago, and hat tip to Aaron Eskeets for discovering it. It feels like a true time capsule, back when we all didn’t have pro-grade recording devices in our pockets, and it finds Radiohead pretty much at the top of their game.
Bust out your lawn chair, go full screen, and hop into the glorious past.
