illuminati hotties face a jagged highway of mortality with the tender ‘Truck’

It’s a good time to be illuminati hotties. The indie rock project of Sarah Tuzdin — no stranger to our digital pages — is set to play Pitchfork Music Festival this weekend, ahead of a handful of northwest dates opening for boygenius (Tuzdin also co-produced their new record). To celebrate all this goodness — greatness? — illuminati hotties today (July 19) release a weathered, ’90s-kissed, lo-fi guitar-pop tune called “Truck.” Here’s how Tuzdin sets it up: “If mortality is a jolting, jagged highway exit, then heaven is a truck as it rumbles through the unknown. ‘Truck’ is a gentle affirmation that the dream can change at no deficit of dignity. For Tim.” Cradle it below.
