Soca music and its various African and East Indian rhythms have permeated pop culture over the past few years (hit this Grammy article for a proper primer), and Kes are amongst the forefront of the movement as Carnival goes global. Now the party comes to Citizens House of Blues on September 10 as the Trinidad and Tobago project launches its Man with No Door Tour, with Teddyson John and Jimmy October on board as support. “Come vibe with us as we embark on this thrilling adventure, crossing borders and breaking down barriers, celebrating the power of Soca music,” Kes writes on Insta. “Together, we’ll create memories that will last a lifetime!” Dig it.
