Beach Riot soundtrack summer with the searing ‘Tell Me I’m Wrong’

If there was ever a time for American audiences to get inspired by a band called Beach Riot, it’s today (July 3), the eve of the greatest beach holiday of them all, Fourth of July. The Brighton duo — hailing from England, not Massachusetts, and who we first hyped in 2021 — likely don’t give a single stateside fuck about our star-spangled day off, but the pure fuzzed-out infectiousness of weighty new single “Tell Me I’m Wrong” suggests they know a thing or two about needing a proper tune to swan dive properly into all things care-free summer.

As a result, “Tell Me I’m Wrong” is a searing noise-drenched power-pop ripper that hits the streams via Alcopop! Records, and it arrives ahead of Beach Riot’s appearance this weekend at 2000trees Festival in Gloucestershire. It was recorded at Vada Studios and engineered by Pete Hutchins (Royal Blood, Gang Of Youths, Foals), and mastered by Grant Berry at Fader Mastering.

“All we wanna do is take this song onto the stage and be the soundtrack to people’s summer,” Beach Riot declare. “It’s such a fun, hooky singalong song to play and we can’t wait to join everyone in the sun for this one at Trees.”

That’s the kind of vibe that transcends borders and holidays. Bang on below.
