Those looking to escape the near-incessant threat of wet weather this week should take refuge at Royale for a night of “summer camp.” That’s the theme — and title — of the debut album from anees, the Washington, DC-based artist who his tour of the same name to the Theatre District venue tonight (June 29).
anees has been bringing bright, jazz-tinged pop R&B to audiences worldwide since first making waves on TikTok three years ago, and now with a full-length album, self-released May 19, under his belt, the show is sure to bring much-needed sunshine to Boston.
Supporting anees will be equally sleek musician Michael Minelli, who has local ties as a “Connecticut-born, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter” and recently released his latest single, “Got Away with My Love.” Check out music from both artists below.
