Music You’re Missing gets us out of the house for a Bedroom Pop Party

It looks like Snøw — and a bevy of lo-fi beats — are in the forecast this weekend. Big Night Live dials back its usual nightclub bombast to host an intimate Bedroom Pop Party this Saturday (June 17), courtesy of the Music You’re Missing podcast.

The all-ages showcase will feature sets from homegrown artists Snøw, Maeko, and Layzi, as well as New York visitor Retrograded, bridging lo-fi rap with mellow pop in a room that typically caters to hyperactive EDM. The party’s timing catches a few of the performers in the midst of dropping new tunes; Snøw has a single up his sleeve for late June, and Maeko is fresh off the release of “Nowstalgia,” so Saturday night presents a high probability of hearing some exclusive or previously-unheard music.

As low-key vibes flood the venue, guests can peruse an indoors arts market, featuring vintage digs from Attleboro’s The Faucet Thrift, visual art from The Little Astronaut, and vibrant (and sometimes delightfully vulgar) offerings from Ain’t Easy Candles. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., music begins at 6:30 p.m., and the show wraps by 9 p.m. Translation: you’ll be back to your own bedroom long before midnight.
