Maya Folick, October 6

Last week, Miya Folick dropped her new album Roach, and we hyped in advance a pair of tracks from it: The dramatic “So Clear”, which we described as “one of the more vibrant and enchanting songs in her growing arsenal, a sweeping pinwheel of an art-pop tune”; and the expansive “Cockroach”. Both were alluring aural tone-setters for the Los Angeles artist’s latest sonic spectacle, and now she’s headed out on the road to show it all off in person, playing Brighton Music Hall on October 6. The tour follows a busy 2023 where Folick shares or has shared the stage with Ally & AJ, The Head and the Heart, and Father John Misty, and it’s now time for for her to have the spotlight all to herself. Tickets go on sale Friday (June 2) at 10 a.m. local time.
