It’s a perfectly sunny Friday at Boston Calling, and the music festival is officially on like Donkey Kong. So as we count down to a headlining set from Foo Fighters, there’s an awful to consider and plan for between plotting your music intake, photo op spots, non-music experiences, and getting your wind up enough to scream along to the bridge of “Monkey Wrench” — we get it. Which is why we’re not only here to remind you that it’s also important to eat and drink every now and again, but to also key you in on exactly which foodstuffs we recommend you should throw down the hatch throughout your #BC23 hangs.

From BBQ to ice cream and everything in between, Vanyaland has your back when you’re looking for a snack.

If you’re looking for something savory to kick things off, you have plenty of options. From Che! Empanada, Trolley Dogs, and Love Art Sushi to Lily P’s, Greco, and Dumpling Daughter, there’s an almost choice to be made. But a bright and smoky highlight of the whole damn weekend is The Smoke Shop. With burnt end Sandwiches, hearty side servings of mac n’ cheese, fries and more, there’s no shortage of options. With that being said, the best shoring comes in the form of the “Ultimate BBQ Cone.” Coming in at a surprising $15, this delectable savory take on a sweet classic. Is packed with layers of brisket, coleslaw, baked beans and mac n’ cheese, which will inevitably leave you feeling like you’re in the backyard instead of a full scale festival grounds.

After you let that beautiful beast digest, and you venture out to forage for something sweet, there’s virtually no better option than FoMu ice cream. Plant-based ingredients met with great taste make undertakings like the $10 cookie sandwich (which can be packed with flavors like peanut butter cookies n’ cream, birthday cake and strawberry shortcake, among others) not so strenuous, it’s sure to be a real cherry on top your culinary expeditions this weekend.

Come to think of it, maybe putting a cherry on top of a cookie sandwich would bring it into the stratosphere.
