Billy Idol, September 9
Fresh off an electrifying performance at Cruel World Festival in Southern California, Billy Idol casts a ‘Rebel Yell’ heard from Los Angeles to Lansdowne as his summer headline tour hits MGM Music Hall at Fenway on September 9. It’s not too often that a sneering face of rock and punk can play new venues after a 46-year career, but that’s on the itinerary as Idol crashes Boston’s MGM as well as New York City’s Kings Theatre and D.C.’s The Anthem, joined on guitar by longtime bandmate Steve Stevens for a set that spans his entire catalog. Last month, Idol performed the first-ever concert at the Hoover Dam along the Nevada/Arizona border, filmed for a forthcoming concert film and set for theatrical release later this year. Get a taste of it below. Tickets to the MGM show go on sale Thursday (May 25) at 10 a.m. local time.
