Haiku Hands drop a beat for all our nightlife moods with ‘Nunchucka’

We usually like to say that a song slots in one of three areas of nightlife’s itinerary: To be played while getting ready to go out; to be heard while out at the club; or to soundtrack the afterparty. Haiku Hands new single “Nunchucka” seems poised to strike all three.

Out today (May 8) via Spinning Top Records, an offshoot of the management company behind Tame Impala, the pulsating club banger arrives complete with video directed by Triana Hernandez (Amyl and the Sniffers, RYE). It takes us deep into a tripped-out warehouse party scene, just as the Australian alt-dance trio crash our shores next month for a string of festival and club dates. This electro mega-jam should sound massive indoors and out.

Haiku Hands dub their latest as “a super charged high energy self affirmation anthem for anyone who wants to wipe off the patriarchal stain of self-loathing. A song to listen to before you go out, when you’re out, and when you get home. Enjoy your life.”

Take it with you and bump it all night long. Catch Haiku Hands at Governors Ball in New York City, Des Moines’ Capital City Pride Fest, and Logan Square Arts Festival Chicago; and hope more stateside dates follow shortly.
